COVID 19 Vaccine update: COVAXIN has no immediate side effect

A day after India's first homegrown vaccine covaxin was administered to a 30 year old delhi based man, no immediate side effect has been reported. The man will be under close monitoring for the next seven days.On saturday few more participants were administered the vaccine at AIIMS.

Pune's Serum Institute of India which has partnered with AstraZeneca for manufacturing the Oxford vaccine candidate for COVID -19 has sought permission from the Drugs controller general of India for conducting human clinical trials of the potential vaccine.
